This program is designed to instill a continued sense of stewardship for Maine’s wilderness. As a result of our program, each teen will develop a renewed spirit, self-confidence, a sense of adventure and a respect and love for the outdoors.
The program is a wilderness expedition of paddling on some the inland waters of Washington County. In this serene setting, campers will develop canoeing and paddling skills while enjoying the sites of the St. Croix River, Grand Lake, Big Lake as well as other surrounding rivers, lakes and streams in our beautiful area. They will be learning about wilderness ecosystems, land ethics, outdoor cooking and low-impact camping techniques.
