We, at The Greenland Point Center, are very excited about the opportunities for children and adults in the upcoming season.
Greenland Point is an outdoor education/recreation center located in Princeton, Maine.
For educators, Safari Club International is offering American Wilderness Leadership or AWLS-EAST.
Teachers from all over come to Greenland Point for a week and learn about nature, the environment, outdoor living skills and conservation. We travel to many interesting locations in Washington County while taking advantage of all that GPC has to offer. The best news is that Safari Club has scholarships for the $800.00 fee! Everything is free!
AND Educators can earn 3 hours of graduate credit for an additional $300.00
This is not limited to just traditional teachers. If you work as an administrative assistant or aide in a school (kindergarten through graduate school) or in a recreation department or anywhere that you do, have or will interact with children, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE.
Brochures and applications for the different programs can be sent at your request. Please disregard any listed application deadlines as they do not apply to Maine.
You should get applications in ASAP as this is limited to 40 participants.
