SCI  American Wilderness Leadership School

at Greenland Point Center

The Eighth Annual AWLS-East Workshop will be hosted at Greenland Point Center Inc., Princeton, Maine. The AWLS-East Teacher Workshop is sponsored by the Safari Club International Foundation and the Maine Chapter, SCI. GPC is a unique setting for programs in environmental and outdoor education. Situated on a 64 acre peninsula, which extends into Long Lake, the peninsula is covered with a mature forest rich with wildlife and adjacent to thousands of acres of wilderness. Limited to 40 attendees. The 7-day program consists of academic lectures, discussions and field trips addressing wilderness values & management, aquatic and wetlands ecology, wildlife ecology, environmental ethics, natural resource management and state wildlife conservation practices.
